This concert features the Emory University Symphony Orchestra and the University Chorus performing the Mozart Requiem and a newly commissioned work as part of the Composer Commission Project: EUSO @ 100.
Brittany Green is the first composer selected as part of this project—a three-year initiative designed to highlight the works of BIPOC composers through the commissioning of new works. Green is a North Carolina-based composer, creator, and educator. Described as “cinematic in the best sense” and “searing” (Chicago Classical Review), Green’s music works to facilitate collaborative, intimate musical spaces that ignite visceral responses.
